Buchan Development Partnership provides support to community groups looking for funding.  The development officer can carry out a funding search for your project and provide support with applications.

We support various grant schemes to assist local organisations to improve their communities, organise local events and generally help communities to help themselves.

Winter Warmer Grants

The Buchan Community Planning Partnership Winter Warmer Grant has been launched in response to the significant rises in costs, particularly in relation to energy and food costs.

This small grant scheme is open to any constituted groups that want to provide a Warm Space for local people to get out of the cold and socialise with others. The fund can be used to pay for any cost of living challenges faced such heating costs, activities or refreshments for your sessions. To apply for a grant of up to £500 email: info@bdp.scot

Shell Small Grants

Shell UK works closely with BDP to invest in Buchan Communities based near their St Fergus Terminal; offering grants of up to £750 to constituted community groups to deliver projects that will improve the safety and quality of life for local people.

There are four rounds of Shell Small Grants per year, with the successful recipients receiving their awards at BDP’s quarterly Forums.

Groups can apply for funding towards a range of costs including start-up costs, training, equipment, events or promotional support (this is not an exhaustive list, other items may be funded).

Exclusions: transport costs; only 1 successful application can be awarded in any 1 year period

Peterhead Sea Cadets received £750. The funding from the Shell Small Grants Scheme was used to purchase oars and safety helmets.

Maud Village Trust received £750 for storage cupboards for equipment used at clubs.
